Have you ever taken the kids to Sydney Observatory for day tour?
To be honest I have no knowledge about stars and galaxy so it's actually a great learning tour for me too. My two nephews were having lots of fun despite they are only age 5 and 6 they can answer questions from the tour guide when aunty susie has absolutely no ideas.
Highly recommended. Next time we should go for night tours. Maybe I should take the girls.
I am quite addicted to true crime podcasts. The way they made this is in such high quality I just couldn't stop listening to it. This is still an unsolved misery and the fact that the story is so close to home in northern beaches just simply astonishing.
I started with the Casefile podcast that was highly recommended by Mamamia network. After that it was Dirty John which is the no 1 itune podcast at the time. Now it's teachers pet.
Be aware. All these are highly addictive. and scary sometimes.....
Don’t think we have ever missed a year of Archibald price at Art Gallery of NSW. The biggest event for artists every year.
Out of coincidence the guide tour was on at 3 pm. I didn’t realize what a huge different it makes with a guide tour. The details of exhibition was able to introduced by such experiences guide.
Art gallery also has a podcast specially to Archibald price that you will be able to listen and check out the exhibitions at the same time.
Definitely worth going. Going at 3-5 pm is such a good idea too. You will be able to have some coffee after before catch up with Art after hour on Wednesday at the gallery.
This year the winner is Yvonne Coppersmith. I love how she oirtray the gaze of self portrait. 97 years since Archibald price started there were only ever 7 female winner. Go and see it!
Four of us have met since the university years. We didn't even go to the same University. Jennifer studied engineering from UNSW. Irene studied hospital management from UTS. I did music from University of Sydney and Patricia did accounting from Macquarie University.
We have regular 4 girls monthly meeting since university years. Many things have happened since uni time and we all have different path in professional and personal life but our monthly meeting never stops. We never have a meeting without all four of us presented. If one of us is not there then the gathering is cancelled.
Our routine is very set. Always meet in a Sunday afternoon. Started with lunch, shopping, coffee and afternoon tea before we go by 5 pm.
Although sometimes things are on our way we need to postpone it (like this year, this is only the second time we met!) I hope this tradition will go on till we are very grey and old....
Listen to what they said about the big dick energy. I really can tell who has the silence confidence of big dick energy. What it is. Who has it and why we want it. BDE it is called.
My 17 year old student Lucas has that solid silence confidence for sure. Yes Obama and Prince Harry has it too. Basically it’s a quiet confidence they hold themselves . I always knew it but not know how to describe it. The reason they call it BDE is as if you have big dick that you are secretly very pleased with yourself that you don’t need to hang it out to show people.
When I heard them talking about it in this podcast I was like yes that’s what it is! BDE.
There is no value judgement for BDE. But my personal view is that any energy is better than no energy . Have a listen (from 10:15 in the podcast) . Let’s all aspire to have it.
I always won singing competitions when I was in my teens and 20s. Addicted to the adrenaline of competitions. Being a professional I can’t do singing competitions anymore. So I turn the focus to public speaking. Tonight I won the 2018 Best Speaker of the Year Award. I want to prove that even with an accent you can still beat Aussies to be the best public speaker. In Australia, everything is possible. You set a goal and work hard towards it. If you win it’s awesome if you don’t you are always better than you were before.
#It's exciting to receive this present that looks so Susie! I totally love it
I was helping a friend with the presentation so this was the thank you gift I got. Oh I love the blingbling. Even it's freezing outside I will wear it straightaway!
Aussies don't know that we can't give people shoes as present. You also can't give people clocks (that means you want them to die haha). Giving shoes as gift means you want them to get out of your life. I am very sure this is not what my friend meant. So I gave him one dollar as if I bought the shoes from him for one dollar.
Highlight of my week. my bling bling shoes present!
The kids today are really more anxious than in the past. It's so true.
I fist heard about smiling mind app from the mamamia network. The app is completely free and it really has very good program for kids/adults to do.
I can't speak highly enough for the app who is developed by clinical psychologists who really want to contribute to the mindfulness of the general public.
I have done many different kinds of martial art trainings over the years. So I often joke about not tapping Susie on the shoulder randomly cause I might attack you out of muscle reflection!
To be honest this specific kind of martial art is a new thing to me. I like how it's very self defence base and prove to be a lot more practical than the wing chun and Karate that I have done before.
I go to my Sat training religiously. There are black belts boys in my class too. Martial art is very good for the kids.
I highly recommend it.
