今天晚上 impromptu speech tonight was “what is the belief that you have that’s not supported by others”?
我常常在得best speaker award 但是在澳洲從來沒有打敗過澳洲人拿到即興演講Award. Tonight is the first time.
我的belief 就是誰說英文有accent 的亞洲人不能夠win over the native speakers in both two speaking awards.
I watched so many YouTube from best speakers around the world, I attended all the speaking events in Sydney and I practiced tonight’s speech 50 times on video and on audio. The impromptu speech like that certainly helps.
Do things that make you feel happy, work very hard and do it very very well
Feeling On top of the world.
Toastmaster public speaking club in Taiwan can be conducted in Chinese, English, Japanese, Taiwanese and Hakka. I want to show kids what I taught is useful. So I did the bilingual club yesterday and got voted as the best speaker of impromptu speech (English) . The secret is .....Always use the technique of PREP (point-reason-example-point) or “past-present-future). Nail the structure, add the charisma it will put you at ease and you will be able to rock any impromptu speech anytime anywhere. 90 percent of the population are scared of public speaking, I want all my students to be in that 10 percent category. #toastmasterclubtaipei#bilingualrocks
託Maria and Kenny 藥廠的福人生第一次參加旅行團so much fun 。
money is to buy experience in life (這一點我非常相信。以前我怕水怕的半死我五年前才學會游泳因為貝貝他們長大了如果姑姑什麼都不會很遜。現在我一個禮拜游三次所有的水上活動什麼招式的游泳活動我都可。it’s never too late to learn anything and when you get it you get it for life) 我們這個講話講不停的導遊講的東西其實也是很有道理。
不過他賣的任何東西我一樣都沒買。這導遊有十九間properties I reckon he will be perfectly fine without my contribution 的。
Recently I have been receiving some coaching with web designing . The company they suggested was squarespace and weebly.
I always have been doing weebly but didn’t pay much attention to it. Now we have to look into more details about the difference I found the result is rather interesting. Both of them are quite easy for novices to set up their own websites. If you are thinking about setting up your own website it’s worth having a look!!
My website is here www.mosmanmusic.com/
And here is the YouTube link I found comparing weebly and squarespace. See which one suits you better .
i just created the Facebook page today. Compare to my friends I must be quite “in “when it comes to social media hahaha! Love social media. If I want to search something the first thing I go is to see if they are on Facebook or instagram. This is the trend for the future!
I also love how I can connect with students and parents directly on Instagram. It’s a great tool for kids to motivate each other and we all keep in touch with each other too. Anyway I love Instagram.
Welcome to add us on Facebook and Instagram !
I used to wake up at 5 am everyday in summer. When it comes to winter I just can't do it. TOO HARD.
Now Spring is coming. I am going to start the 5:30 am project again starting from tomorrow. Apparently going to bed early is not going to do the trick cause the body is used to go to bed at 11 pm. I think the first few days will be very hard.
The reason I want to start 5:30 am waking up hour again is that I feel that I am not doing enough exercises. Also lots of time wasting on instagram and facebook before bed. I also miss the feeling of the whole world is asleep when you have already done so much by 8 am.
It feels like there is time boost.
The planned routine is :
5:30am (no turning on the phone till 8 am)
Glass of warm water
Plan for the day
Exercise (morning walk at balmoral-listening to podcast)
Starting tomorrow.....I will let you know how it goes.
Wish me luck. Or join me?
I have a little secret before I go overseas where I can't speak the language.
The secret is...Michel Thomas language app.
Apart from being native speaker on Chinese and Taiwanese. Since young I have gone to so many language tuitions such as English, Japanese, German, Spanish and Korean. As a classical trained singer I took compulsory classes on French, Italian as well because there are so many French Melodies, German Lied and Italian operatic area that we need to learn and memorise.
If you ask me, So what language can you really speak? Apart from fluent in Chinese, English and Taiwanese. I can only get by conversational Japanese, simple German and simple Spanish. None of them is good but my philosophy is that it's always better to understand a little rather than nothing at all.
When you learn another language, you really open another world of communication.
Every time I go to a new country where I can't speak the language, I bought the language app of Michel Thomas method. Like last year I went to Sweden so I bought Swedish. He doesn't have Michel Thomas in Czech. So when I went to Prague I really went with no knowledge at all.
I am off to Dubai soon so I bought Michel Thomas in Arabic months ago and literally learn from listening daily. His method is incredibly useful that get you to speak very quickly . It's not a long term language learning method but the emergency of language learning.
You really can communicate and construct the sentence very quickly and effectively. Of course when you come back without any more further studying you'll totally forget it. However it makes the travelling more interesting if you can communicate even the slightest and everyone loves and appreciates your effort.
A lot of miracles can happen when you make effort on things. That's my life's philosophy.
Check out Michel Thomas language app. It's not cheap but its worth it.
Recently I have been quite addicted to this music channel from ABC kids.
ABC kids is for kids? No no no the selections here has the best soothing music for night time and they are the best classical pieces that combine together . I can’t speak highly enough for this.
I always have it on at night when I read or write journals every night. It doesn’t disrupt your thoughts yet it’s calming and soothing. And trust me I normally never switch music on after work.
