Have you ever taken the kids to Sydney Observatory for day tour?
To be honest I have no knowledge about stars and galaxy so it's actually a great learning tour for me too. My two nephews were having lots of fun despite they are only age 5 and 6 they can answer questions from the tour guide when aunty susie has absolutely no ideas.
Highly recommended. Next time we should go for night tours. Maybe I should take the girls.
At the end of your lifetime, you will only remember the interesting moments in life.
Not how much work you have done, not what you have bought, but whom you have been with and still with and those special moments in life.
I knew this long time ago. I am glad I knew it long time ago cause I have been a music therapist for palliative for many many years. Therefore I always try to create moments in life to remember.
Yoga at the opera house only happens this time . Perhaps after this year it will never happen. Get up at 5:30 am is too early? But I always have friends who are keen to do things like this .
Money is to buy experience in life. And good quality of life constants of lots of fun moments like this.
I will sure look for more and do more.
Join me next time? What else will you do at that early hour? Sleep? You can sleep when you die . While we are alive we live hard .
Landed in Sydney. First text was from my sister that she has an emergency could I please go to beauty point school to pick up her kids . I have never picked up any kids from anywhere in my life (even though I have taught hundreds of Beauty Point School students over the years) How does it work?Should I bring ID? Anyway I can’t find kids and my sister is panicking and I am nervous (this is their second day of new school) The kids were sent to the office. Finally drama ends and I am even more jet-lagged.
Rosie and I used to learn from the same singing studio of Miss Joanne Callinan when we were young.
Rosie now has a very successful piano studio in Hunters Hill and also teaches at Loreto. We are still very good friends until this day catching up with all the gossip regularly.
I hope my kids in my studio will make some life long good friends like us.
Although we don’t do anything singing related when we see each other, we just eat and talk, only non stop eat and talk!
Four of us have met since the university years. We didn't even go to the same University. Jennifer studied engineering from UNSW. Irene studied hospital management from UTS. I did music from University of Sydney and Patricia did accounting from Macquarie University.
We have regular 4 girls monthly meeting since university years. Many things have happened since uni time and we all have different path in professional and personal life but our monthly meeting never stops. We never have a meeting without all four of us presented. If one of us is not there then the gathering is cancelled.
Our routine is very set. Always meet in a Sunday afternoon. Started with lunch, shopping, coffee and afternoon tea before we go by 5 pm.
Although sometimes things are on our way we need to postpone it (like this year, this is only the second time we met!) I hope this tradition will go on till we are very grey and old....
are you into world cup? I am. I don’t stay up to watch the full game like the crazy boys do. But I watch every single highlights. Every single commentary on YouTube. Either it’s from Australia or Europe or Asia. Every single news you can find about World Cup I will watch.
I have charts that I write down so I fully understand . My friend thought I must be doing gambling on this. Not at all! But I can tell you which country I think might win ....
I also did a Live chat to talk about it with the audience.
It’s good to see everyone gets together for world cup. We love it.
You should see my boys. One boy told me he has his dinner, goes to bed, wakes up at 12 to watch the game, sleep again, wakes up at 4 to watch another. Then sleep for another hour before goes to school.
Every boy comes to me looking like they have severe jetlag.
Let’s talk football.
i have done a lot of different kinds of martial arts but this is the first time I had my Hapkido Grading.
It was quite stressful cause I really couldn’t quite remember the names of all those moves required from the syllabus.
After the whole morning of practice, trial test and finally comes the grading time. A little nerve racking to do it in front of the world champion John Gill.
Everyone should do martial arts! It’s discipline, self defense and so much fun . I will do it till I can’t move anymore. It will be cool to be a king fu woman in my 80s or 90s.
I organised an Uni friends reunion lunch today.
These days there are more kids than adults at reunion lunch like this. I made a booking of 15 people at the RSL club. I like RSL club cause the kids can entertain themselves well without bothering us.
After the big lunch four of us went to coffee at westfield.
We always take turns to organise big lunch regularly. Every time we see each other we notice that we look more or less the same but the kids are growing up rapidly.
Always enjoy catch up with long term friends. University year in my mind doesn't seem so far away cause we can still remember every detail vividly.
Time really goes fast.
This long weekend is quite a busy one. I still have students coming for the entire long weekend but there is somehow more festive feel in the air.
We had friends coming from overseas. Went to vivid Sydney and had a few parties on.
There was even one dramatic episode at the Anema E core Sydney restaurant. Lexi's mermaid party was fun and last night in the pouring rain at Vivid Sydney was quite memorable too.
Life is full of memorable moments but we do need to notice and create them. Definitely not just work and chores.
Byebye long weekend and hope Queen has a lovely birthday celebration.
