Heard about this cafe from a parents instagram. The food looks nice and it just looks so interesting .
So today we went for lunch. The food is actually very nice. If you want to dine on the tram you will have to get take away and eat it there.
Today is a cold raining day so we decide to dine in and just take photos on the tram.
Highly recommend if you are around the northern beaches area.
I must have talking about Taiwanese hotpot before. In winter and almost every weekend, we will have this. Perhaps at someone's house, perhaps in the restaurant.
Hotpot is the food symbolised family, prosperity and togetherness. A comfort food for us and a very satisfying one.
Sometimes I feel sorry for aussies that they never understand what's behind the simple food of hotpot. For them this might look like a giant soup that everyone shares! haha
Yesterday someone made the most authentic peanut sweet dessert soup too. We ate non stop until 10 pm by the time I got home it was nearly 11 pm. Always a great night of food, family, friends in a chilling winter night. Looking forward to it every week.
Probably the only thing good about winter. I can't wait for the summer to come.
Every wed and Friday lunch I have lunch with friends in city.
It's like a routine for us. Wed with certain friends and friday with others. Some of them work in city so it's very easy to organise.
We explore new places to eat in the city. And for all of us it's something we look forward to weekly.
Today I went with Stephanie and Christine to Devon cafe Barangaroo. The food has small portion but it's a good fusion style of western/Japanese cafe food.
If you happen to be around Barangaroo, drop in and have a try. Very interesting food.
Out of blues just discover this rumeals cafe in neutral bay.
They are about $ 13 each in average. Freshly made meals that you can put in the fridge. A lot of people will think no way that looks so boring. I love it though cause its healthy.
With that price it probably costs me the same to order hello fresh. But I don't need to cook it. Anyway I bought quite a few just to experiment it. The portion is quite small though but you do feel healthy eating it.
These days people will eat plain food just to keep healthy. Especially lazy people like me. Oh my god I hate cooking you know . I rather clean the toilet than cooking......hahaha
My friends always said I eat out a lot. I eat out much more than what I post on Facebook or Instagram. Yes it’s a lot.
Cooking is the only skill that I don’t intend to improve or learn. Totally not interested . I actually cook relatively well cause people who are fussy with food are normally good enough cook.
Unlike people with large family it might be saving money to cook, but I found I waste more food and money if I buy vegetables and have to throw out at the end.
Love chatswood. So many Asian cuisine which is authentic to the core.
I pop in this morning to try the new breakfast menu at northern dumplings . A soy milk, bun and fried noodles only costs $8 and the boss is playing the violin!!
What a lovely day to start Friday. I got up at 5 am so by the time I finished first breakfast, taught two students and drove to chatswood for second breakfast, the majority of Aussie is just about to start their day...
I was in the planning of renovating the apartment and rent out for AirBnb next year perhaps. It’s about time it needs a make over anyway.
And I found out today there is a new whole food cafe opening downstairs! I went in for a coffee (had breakfast already otherwise I will try for sure)
The coffee is amazing (their food is a little pricy though. Everything has wholefood label on it seems to cost more) These days people really like to be in the place that’s close to cafe 生活機能好的地方。there is a gym opening downstairs too. I love a gym downstairs. OMG I am so excited. How about a Woolworth or AboutLife ? I would looooove to have an organic supermarket downstairs . Or Aldi?!!
Havent been to the secret alley for a while. This is the most authentic Taiwanese food in Sydney. Its so authentic that I haven’t never seen an Aussie in the restaurant .
We noticed they change the menu again. 3 little dishes for one person as lunch set is now $18. That’s quite reasonable in Sydney but that’s like 3 times more than what it costs in Taiwan.
Nevertheless we had such good time and satisfying appetite.
Should go more often to support the business! Love the food from hometown. Australia really has the best varieties of cuisines. Aussies know exactly what’s good and bad when it comes to food.
