The alarm went off at 5am! Not even 5:30. I don’t know how I set the alarm up at 5 am. At split second I was thinking should I go bed to sleep for 30 min? Then I knew if I don’t get out of bed at that moment I would not be able to do it. So I got up. First thing was to make the bed. In that case I couldnt make myself roll back to it.
After the bathroom routine , I quickly went up to make the coffee and breakfast. Once the food was in I am Ok. Everyone was still sleeping ...quite a good feeling to know that you have some time boost.
After 5:30 am I actually got a text and email from morgage broker. He was on his way on holidays to airport and tried to get my documents early. I can’t believe we were doing work at 5:30 am . I emailed my accountant for tax return details too . And guess what? The accountant replied fast too!
By 6 am I was at at my drum kit practicing drums with earphones on so I couldn’t wake up anyone. After that I went for a beach run at Many beach for one hour.
My morning Student texted me to change the time so I stayed at Manly beach longer and had another large latte at ground zero cafe .
By the time I got back I could still clean the pool, took rubbish out, vacuum and it was not even 10 am .
Looks like the first day of early riser is a success. Let’s keep it up. Feeing quite good and not tired at all . I guess the spring sun helps!
I literally feel how fast the time goes and see the change cause it’s just too obvious on these kids. So I get anxiety if I waste time because time just passes too quickly .
We overestimate how much we can do in a year but underestimate how much we can do in a life time. So I write down a list at the end of jan this year about what are the things I want to accomplish this year . It has been 7 months now.
1. Finish the whole Toastmaster speech Manuel .
Evaluation: I won the Best Speaker Award. That’s even better.
2. Back to dance flamenco .
Evaluation: I am still dancing every Thursday night. Still have trouble remembering choreography and never seem to know what I am doing. But I am still hanging there.
3. Start drum lessons .
Evaluation : I am still learning every Tuesday. Now at grade 5 syallbus. TICK! There is never a single day pass that I do not practice at least 5-10 mins.
4. Start Hapkido self defence.
Evaluation: I passed the grading and going for the next one. Still at training every Saturday . Even though it hurts when they twist my hands I am still there. Every sat I drag myself to go. But then when the training is finished you are so glad you are there.
5. Finish Reading a book once every two weeks
Evaluation : sometimes I do it less than a week, some book I just can’t finish it. I am establishing a habit of reading before bed.
6 Journal /blog
Evaluation: I want to establish a habit of starting something and never quits. My writing habit is one of them. People often ask how do you have time to do all these. I need to set priority and find time. And train myself to have the discipline and routine. I like the feeling of tapping myself on the back and say Susie well done being persistent . It’s actually quite empowering .
I used to be the person who never finish things. Those days are gone.
Being able to do all those is not important. But being able to continue establishing the habits is what I want myself to do.
Recently I have been trying to explore the area of podcasting and broadcasting.
I started the radio adventure with Radio Northern beaches. Love the thrill of Live broadcasting. I have always been doing Facebook Live regularly for the past two years so talking is not difficult. Finding what to talk is not difficult too.
The difficulty part is the editing process. It is really a tiring and slow process when it comes to pre recording episodes.
Also in broadcasting the music has copyright so it takes time to find royalty free music. I think I should really just make it myself on garage band. The software I use for editing episode is logic pro. And I am trying to learn the software of audacity.
And, to submit a podcast to Itunes we need to know about media hosting like libsyn. The Itunes artwork also has special size and requirements.
A lot of things to learn but it's quite exciting. I am trying to get an app developed especially for the Susie Show. The show will cover in three different languages depends on the topic and target group. This is certainly not for profit and just something I really want to do.
With the resources and talents of speaking, logic pro editing, music making and a good fan base already I think I can do this.

We were talking about different food options. Someone mentioned light n/ easy.
I can't believe we sign up for this. Now i am looking forward to see breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks all be done and delivered to me from Thursday next week.

I have a large wardrobe but I still often run out of ideas what to wear in the morning. I even have an app document all clothing I have. Oragnized freak to the max. A feeling of constant need to reward myself might cause such problem (yes I am in Zara store at least once a week and often come out with new stuff in the bag) .This morning I select 33 items for the next 33 days to start the project 333 journey.
No I am not throwing away or selling anything. I am just trying to see what's like not to buy and not to wear more than 33 items. There are many ways of doing this (if you search youtube project 333 you will see loads of people trying it) Some include shoes/bags and accessories. My 33 items are purely outer clothing excluding undergarments, gym wear, lounge wear, shoes, bags and accessories. Nevertheless it's still not easy to choose just 33. Ask any women they will agree with me. Here is the wardrobe before. And just two photos of the stylebook app that I use. You get the idea. Yes here is my wardrobe.
What the documentary of Minimalism strikes me most is the interview from Courney Carter about her project 333. You will notice that you don't really need that much THINGS in life. I put that into action straightaway
