last time I got such big impact from a fiction book is probably Thornbird.
This one is definitely bigger and stronger. I normally am not into war fiction or Russian history but oh boy this one is powerful. The use of words , plots, description, passion are just magnificent . I have a million things to do but I can’t put this down and can’t stop thinking about it.
Told everyone about it so you can start reading and I can talk with you!!
I came across to this number one selling book by Gary Keller. Say no more. You can watch this summary and see if you are inspired by this.
Have changed quite a few approach in life just because of this.
After reading Rosie Waterland's anti cool girl I have become a big fan of her work. She also has a popular podcast reading and conversing with her mother (who is the subject of her book) that I listen weekly.
It's hard to believe that after going through so much trauma with difficult childhood of alcoholic parents and mental disorder that she will come out become such a good and funny writer.
This book is even more powerful than the other book. It's very raw, sad but yet beautiful and touching. I like the way she writes things it's just so raw and easy to read but yet the use of words is brilliant. There are times it's just totally hilarious.
How she can put all those elements down together in one book is amazing.
I didn't even turn up for my Hopkido class this morning cause I really want to finish this....
I bought the Vagabonding book by Rolf Potts. It's really not just a travelling book i think its more like a lifestyle and mindset shifting book for me .
Writing a blog daily is a good exercise cause I get to note down interesting passages . I like how he said,
"If you set off down the road with specific agendas and goals, you will at best discover the pleasure of actualising them.
But if you wonder with open eyes and simple curiosity you will discover a much richer pleasure. "- Rolf Potts
