沒日沒夜完全沒有work life balance.
6 I finished this classics book in Dubai “the Magic of thinking big” by David Schwartz. Highly recommended.
Oman.
I sing and play all the songs I always love to sing LIVE. The app WAVE is very fun cause you have live audience when in pyjamas.
我真的覺得being able to sing well and play freely with any music at hand is the most therapeutic thing. It’s so good for well being.
工作和興趣是同一個也是不錯because I never think of retirement. One can’t retire from passion.
I always tell the kids if you are learning an instrument or working on your voice . Never give it up until it imprints in you. Then you will see the benefit for life.
I will be doing this at 11 pm every Tuesday Sydney time. See you on air.
The afternoon tea at Burj Al Arab costs $250 Australian dollars. Can I pay for it? Yes if we want to.
But no matter how amazing this iconic hotel is in Dubai there is no way I I would pay that much on sandwich, cakes and cappuccino with gold flakes just for the experience.
$250 Aussie dollars it’s the fortnightly wages for the maids in Dubai.
Count our blessings and spend $250 on something useful, not something turns into poo in a few hours.
This experience won’t make me smarter, wiser, richer, younger or prettier.
Gold flakes poo is still poo after all.
In my Dubai hotel there is a African security guy. He stood under the sun for 12 hours a day.
He told me he was a Master of law graduate in his country before the war started.
In Dubai it’s hard to get a job as a black guy, he said. He speaks fluent English and French. One very smart intelligent young man who is desperate to get out and frustrated. Not willing to compromise but not knowing what else to do.
He has every Wednesday off. The rest of the week he stands under the sun, no mobile phone. Nothing. I asked him what he is doing on his day off he said meet up with friend or sometimes rest at home.
Never ever stay at home on his Wednesday, I said. You need to mix with the right people to get out of this.
I found a toastmaster club on wed for him.
He said will go. It’s a start.
Toastmaster doesn’t solve anything but it’s a start. In Dubai it’s free to join toastmaster. The people you meet and the skill you gain will hopefully beneficial for him to get out of this race.
I sincerely hope so.
Money moustache (Peter Adeney)
Compare to people at my stage of life I do travel quite extensively, average 10-12 weeks a year overseas.
I never buy expensive stuff 物質欲是不強的,看到人家浪費錢直接就開罵,my mortgages pay for themselves and don’t need to pay for child expenses so I can do it comfortably.
However people tend to exaggerate the benefit of traveling. You really won’t have big realization in life ok.
What I gain is the gratefulness along the way, the knowledge of new perspective in life and the fuel to start again.
Always do everything your best and
Stay healthy and LIVE WELL.
我不喜歡階級制度的fu I really don’t want to feel above anyone .
I am bloody below everyone there hahaha
